• The person already bonded out or was released, so a live arrest log no longer shows them.
• The person was sentenced and transferred to a state prison, which moves the record to the Florida Department of Corrections locator.
• An outside agency took custody under a federal or immigration hold, which is searched through the BOP or ICE systems instead.
• The name was entered differently at booking, so a partial last-name search can surface the record.

Booking Process in Hardee County

The Sheriff's booking FAQ gives a usable timeline. Detention deputies begin intake after the arresting officer arrives with the person, and the process usually takes one to two hours. Florida Statutes and the Florida Model Jail Standards require deputies to collect identifying information and to photograph and fingerprint the person.
